In August 2011 Smash Pictures released their own parody of John Carpenter's Halloween, directed by Jim Powers (no writer is listed), who also has a cameo as Laurie's father. This film opens in Modesto, California on Halloween night in 1996. Once again we get a POV shot through a window into a house where we see Judith Myers (Raven Alexis) making out with Ritchie (Seth Gamble). Then she takes him upstairs to her room. There's some brief dialog, as Ritchie asks about Judith's brother, saying "he creeps me out," but she just says he's "probably out killing cats or something" (I guess she saw Rob Zombie's Halloween), and they have sex. Afterward, he leaves and we get the POV shot of young Michael getting a knife from the kitchen, then going upstairs to kill Judith. Then Michael and Judith's parents (Oregon Pita & Heidi Mayne) show up and find Michael sitting outside with blood on his knife.
Flash forward to October 30, 2011, in the State Mental Facility in Victorville, California, where Michael has been held ever since. Dr. Loomis (Marcus London) & an unnamed Nurse (Britney Amber) are driving to the Facility to take Michael to a mandatory evaluation. Some brief dialog shows that Loomis is determined to make sure Michael is never released. They get there early, so Loomis and the Nurse have sex in the car and, despite the cramped area, the scene comes off rather well, as London and Amber are able to switch into multiple positions. Afterward, Loomis notices that several of the mental patients have gotten out and are walking around outside. He goes to warn the guards and Michael shows up, chases the Nurse out of the car, and then drives off in it.
Cut to Modesto the next morning, as Laurie Strode (Lily Labeau) is leaving for school, but first has to drop off some keys at the old Myers house. While there, she talks on the phone to her friends, and Michael is in the house watching her, and then he follows her as she walks to school. Laurie notices him a few times but thinks it's just her imagination. She meets up with her friends, Annie (Andy San Dimas aka Sarah Hildebrand) and Lynda (played by Lexi Belle, same as in the Zero Tolerance Halloween parody...I guess she's been typecast). The two girls want Laurie to party with them that night, but Laurie says she has to babysit.
We get some more scenes of Loomis, first meeting with the head of the Mental Facility (Kyle Stone) about Michael. Loomis is convinced that Michael's going back to his old home, so Loomis decides to head to Modesto. There Loomis goes to the cemetery and sees that the Judith Myers gravestone is missing. Laurie bumps into Sheriff Brackett (played by a man only identified as Norm, who is also listed as playing Michael Myers in some scenes). Then we cut to Laurie hanging out with Annie and her boyfriend Paul (Bill Bailey), but she leaves when Annie and Paul start to have sex. Michael watches them through a window. Afterward, Paul leaves, but Micheal doesn't kill them. Later on that night, as Annie is leaving to go see Paul again, Michael catches her in her car, strangles her, and then slits her throat.
Laurie is at home, masturbating as she watches an x-rated horror movie in her room. She's interrupted by a phone call from Lynda, who invites her to go to Annie's place with her, but Laurie declines and goes back to masturbating. Lynda and her boyfriend Bob (Jessy Jones) show up at Annie's. It's dark when they get in, they think no one's home and head upstairs to have sex in a bedroom. After they do the need, Bob goes downstairs to get some beers, where Michael kills him by stabbing him to a wall. then Micheal goes upstairs, covered in a sheet, and strangles Lynda to death while she was on the phone with Laurie, who hears the strangulation sounds and thinks it's the sound of having sex. Since the kids she's babysitting (whom we never see) are asleep, Laurie decides to go over to Annie's. She sees Michael in the sheet and thinks he's Paul. Remembering seeing Annie and Paul start to have sex earlier, Laurie gets turned on and propositions "Paul". Keeping the sheet on, just pulling out his cock, Michael and Laurie have sex on the couch (Criss Strokes is credited as playing Michael during this sex scene). Afterward, Laurie gets dressed and then asks about Annie, but Michael has disappeared. Laurie goes upstairs looking for everyone, and finds Lynda's naked body on the bed, with Judith Myers' gravestone, then she finds Bob's dead body, and Michael appears, without the sheet, and starts chasing her with a knife. Laurie runs back to her home, where we're treated to a game of cat and mouse, straight from the original film, including the infamous closet scene. Michael is in the process of choking Laurie when Loomis finally arrives and shoots Michael multiple times, knocking him off the balcony. But when Loomis looks over the balcony, Michael is gone. THE END.
Overall, storywise and production-wise it's a much better parody of the original Halloween than Zero Tolerance's version was. This one actually shows some blood during the murder scenes, and sticks closer to the original plot. All the sex scenes are very hot too, particularly Britney Amber's and Lexi Belle's. By comparison, I'd also say that Lily Labeau (also credited as Lilly Labeau) fit the image of Laurie Strode a little better than Chanel Preston did in the other film. The Michael Myers mask looks kinda cheap here, but it's good enough. If you're a huge Halloween fan I'd recommend picking up each DVD, but if you can only get one, then this is the one I'd recommend.
CHACEBOOK RATING: 5 STARS
The DVD gives you the option of watching the full film or watching just the sex scenes, plus there's a Behind The Scenes feature, briefly interviewing the female stars, and a photo gallery, plus trailers of other Smash Pictures films.
